This website provides users with the opportunity to post comments that will remain publicly viewable. The IJC will moderate comments to ensure that comments are appropriate and not harmful to others, as outlined below.
Comments which include any of the following may be deleted:
- personal information of any individual;
- threats or incitements to violence;
- duplicative or substantially duplicative postings by the same person or entity;
- seeking employment or containing advertisements for a commercial product or service;
- in violation of law, including libel, condoning or encouraging illegal activity, revealing classified information, or infringing on a copyright or trademark;
- racist, hateful, sexist, homophobic, or slanderous;
- insulting or involve questionable conduct in regards to another person;
- aggressive, rude, coarse, violent, obscene, profane or pornographic in nature;
- offensive or abusive to an individual or organization;
- repetitive or spamming threads; or
- off-topic or do not add to the normal flow of the discussion.
We encourage open participation and invite diverse viewpoints to be shared. Moderators reserve the right to remove posts which do not address some aspect of the stated purpose. We value our users’ time and input, and our desire is to remove as few posts as possible while ensuring that a focused, constructive, and civil discussion takes place. This moderation policy is subject to change to address additional matters as needed.
Per the IJC’s Privacy Policy:
- All submissions are part of the public record; they may remain posted indefinitely or otherwise be made available to the public.
- No anonymous submissions will be accepted. Please provide your first and last name, city, and state/province. Please identify your organization if you are speaking for the organization.
- Please provide an email address; you may choose whether you wish us to send follow up information on the subject matter being discussed.
- To protect your privacy, we will not post the following information and will not share it with any non-IJC entities: email address, street address, post office box, zip code, postal code, telephone number and fax number that are provided via online comment submission function. Files attached to comments submitted online will posted without alteration. If attached files contain contact information in the letterhead or body of the document, this information will be available when the attached file is posted.
- The following information will remain part of the record that is made available to the public: name, organizational affiliation, city, and state/province.
